As SpiderHeck is a fast-paced physics-based game it requires a good, stable connection to the internet. Stability plays a key role, even a little dip in connection can cause unexpected behaviors.
The game is using a Peer to Peer connection where one of the players is hosting the game on their machine. The quality of the match can heavily depend on the host's internet connection. The host should always be the player with the most stable internet connection. (Host is marked by the crown symbol in the pause menu).
Things worth trying to improve your experience
- Make sure your “Lobby type” is not set to “Offline”. This can be set in the Start Survival or Start Versus menu, depending on the selected game mode.
- Use a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi.
- Make sure that no one else on your network is downloading or streaming or doing other bandwidth-intensive tasks.
- In case you are using a Wi-Fi connection, the number of devices connected to the same network might affect its performance. Reduce the number of connections, if possible
