For big technical issues, check if there is a workaround
See the Tech issues section or check out the troubleshooting guide. Also, by using the search function, check if someone else has reported the bug already on Steam Community or Discord under #bug-reports.
The more detail you give, the easier it will be to reproduce the issue, which will in turn make it easier to fix it.
- What exactly were you doing when the bug happened?
- Are you able to reproduce the issue yourself, or was it a one-off problem?
- For technical issues such as gamepads not working or the game crashing, what sort of hardware specs do you have?
- Screenshots and videos are always useful!
We may ask you for more info, so be sure to check back for responses.
PLEASE Post an output log and/or saved game if possible
It is best to save your output log IMMEDIATELY after the bug occurs because the log will be cleared every time the game is run from Steam. The output log file can be found in one of two places depending on your system:
Win: C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Streets of Rogue\Streets of Rogue\Player.log (take note that AppData is a hidden folder, so you may need to type the whole address manually)
Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/Streets of Rogue/Streets of Rogue/Player.log
You can post this to pastebin.com or send it directly to email@example.com.
The SavedGame.dat file and custom character files can be found in the CloudData folder in the folders listed below. You would need to send this to my email address.
